1: Slice the steak thinly and season with cornstarch, salt, and pepper. 2: Sear the steak in a hot pan until browned and remove from the pan. 3: Sear the sliced onion and bell pepper, then remove them from the pan. 4: In the same pan, prepare the sauce by adding soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, grated ginger, and garlic. 5: Boil the sauce until slightly thickened, adding more cornstarch if needed. 6: Add the beef and onions back to the pan, mixing thoroughly. 7: If desired, add crushed red pepper for heat. 8: Serve the dish with rice.
